National Park Trail Guide App Reviews

Cannot recommend this app enough. It makes planning a trip to a national park so much easier. I especially appreciate the "family friendly" sections where you can find kid-appropriate hikes with descriptions and pictures, so you can pick hikes that your kids will find interesting and (hopefully) not whine too much about. The only recommendation I have is that I could not find a key for the symbols next to the hikes, which makes them kind of pointless.

Im planning a trip to Canyonland & Arches/southern Utah in September, & this app has been fantastic. Trail information from elevation change to distance to water carry suggestions; not to mention informative guides written by real users of the trails. Ive even discovered parks I didnt know existed, and lots of new places I want to explore. I cant wait to pit the gps trail guides against real life + a paper map.

Just spent the week at Glacier National Park and this app was phenomenal. This app made it super easy to locate family friendly trails, track our progress and even help others looking for trailheads all with out signal. Get this app!

I downloaded this app because I was traveling to Acadia NP from the West Coast. I was able to plan a very well rounded trip based on this app. Excellent app. I cannot wait for Rainier NP to come online.

Love this app. A photographers handbook and a pack packers dream. Could not ask for more. This will be so helpful in planning my trip in late September. Love what views you will see on each trail. LOVE WHAT YOU WILL SEE AS FAR AS PLANTS AND ANIMAL AS WELL AS THE LINKS TO FAUNA. Thanks so much REI. Love the app. But all of a sudden its not working???

Used this recent trip to Zion, Bryce and the Grand Canyon. Excellent design makes it easy to sort hikes by difficulty and quickly see elevation profiles, and also calls out the most worthwhile. We found this app especially helpful for planning multiple days with mixed difficult for us and our young kids. Happily surprised that it works very well on trail, even with no cell signal. Best app on my phone!

It makes finding and researching national park hikes so much easier!

The fact that the most visited national park in the US is not included makes me question how good this app could possibly be. The Great Smoky Mtns NC version is "in progress" but not the TN side, which includes the majority of the park. This is an awfully big MB-hoarding app to leave out such a significant park. What IS the deal?!?!?

App states maps! Does have maps, spent many minutes looking for directions to areas. No direction support that I can find. Everything else is awesome, yet, may be better if I had a way to get there.

Now that the Smokies have been included, this is the best app to help plan national park visits. It is very comprehensive and informative.

Especially love the diamond highlights in the trails. Great app from a committed company.

A great concept BUT: Service in the Tetons & Yellowstone is ZERO

I love how you can save things you want to do, and they have a family-friendly portion! We camp and hike with our 6- and 7-year-olds and are always looking for easy hikes with them. Great app! Great parks!
